Pheeeeeew!

After telling Geordie that I would leave his egg in the incubator 'just in case' I got an email from Cockerdoodle Mark (we have 2 uncle Mark's in the family and it was getting confusing, the children were wondering why Fee's brother was talking about chickens!! So, now Cockerdoodle Mark is...Cockerdoodle Mark!) saying that really we should remove the 'dead' eggs, or as my wife so delicately put it...'chicken's periods!' from the incubator. In effect you are slow cooking an egg and it gives of noxious gasses, not to mention bad smells.

Was preparing to tell Geordie this news this morning. But, when he went to turn the eggs nature had done the job for me because the stench was putrid! We were in no doubt that his and Mummy's eggs were off. Although interestingly he said that Mummy's would be the smellier egg because Mummy did smellier trumps than him! I love the way a 5 year old's mind works!

No eggs yet today...hope they come soon
